3: Detailed User Interface Features
Header
The header area contains the machine/display name and various icon selections that have
functionality associated with them (
•
Laser On – When shown and blinking, the laser is on.
•
Keyboard – Calls up an alpha-numeric keyboard so that information can be entered on
the display.
•
Insert – When shown, will allow the heater tube to be inserted into the machine.
•
Eject – When shown, will allow the heater tube to be ejected from the machine.
• Convert to PDF – When selected, the current page will be saved as a .pdf file.
•
Print Screen – Allows the operator to print the active screen (

USB Utility – Allows operator to safely close USB storage device communications and
allow the USB storage device to be safely removed from the user interface. Always
eject the flash drive by selecting the USB utility in the header portion of the display
Note: Do not pull the flash drive out of the USB port without properly closing

About - When selected, a popup will appear showing the software revision level.

Exit – Allows the operator to properly exit out of the Falex 430 ETR user interface
application before the machine is powered down. This will properly save and close
any open files and/or tables before power is removed. (
Admin Mode is active, will only close the HMI, otherwise it will close the HMI and power off
the ETR
Note: It is recommended that the user interface application be properly shutdown prior to
removing the machine from power. Powering down the machine without doing so
could cause data loss/file corruption and should only be done in an emergency.
Main Display Area
The main display area contains a 3D graph, numeric data, buttons, and enterable fields to allow the
operator to configure, run and manage measurement tests.
