Local Certificate: The local certificate is issued by a trusted CA, and is
involved in the applications like remote management and SSL VPN. To
use a local certificate, you must first request a certificate from the CA and
then import the certificate on your security appliance.

CA Certificate: The CA certificate is issed by intermediate CAs, such as
GoDaddy or VeriSign. The CA certificate is used to verify the validity of
certificates generated and signed by the CA.

Managing the Certificates

Perform the following tasks to manage different types of certificates:
To export a local certificate or a CSR to your PC, check the box and click
Download. See
Details
Name: Name used to identify this certificate.
Issuer: Name of the CA that issued the
certificate.
Subject: Name which other organizations will
see as the holder (owner) of this certificate.
Serial Number: Serial number maintained by
the CA and used for identification purposes.
Valid From: Date from which the certificate is
valid.
Expires On: Date on which the certificate
expires. It is advisable to renew the certificate
before it expires.
Name: Name used to identify this CSR.
Subject: Name which other organizations will
see as the holder (owner) of this certificate.
