DigitalSecurityControls warrantsthe originalpurchaser that for a period of twelve months fromthe date of purchase, the product shallbe free of defectsin materials
and workmanship under normaluse. During the warrantyperiod, DigitalSecurityControlsshall, at itsoption, repair or replace anydefective product upon return of the
product to its factory, at no charge for labour and materials. Any replacement and/or repaired partsare warranted for the remainder of the original warrantyor ninety
(90) days, whichever islonger. The original purchaser must promptlynotifyDigitalSecurity Controlsin writing that there is defect in materialor workmanship, such written
notice to be received in all eventsprior to expiration of the warranty period. There isabsolutely no warranty on software and allsoftware productsare sold as a user
license under the termsof the software license agreement included with the product. The Customer assumesallresponsibilityfor the proper selection, installation, oper-
ation and maintenance of anyproductspurchased fromDSC. Customproductsare onlywarranted to the extent that theydo not function upon delivery. In such cases,
DSC can replace or credit at itsoption.
International Warranty
The warrantyfor internationalcustomersisthe same asfor anycustomer within Canada and the United States, with the exception that DigitalSecurityControlsshall not
be responsible for anycustomsfees, taxes, or VAT that maybe due.
Warranty Procedure
To obtain service under this warranty, please return the item(s) in question to the point of purchase. Allauthorized distributorsand dealershave a warranty program.
Anyone returning goods to DigitalSecurity Controls must first obtain an authorization number. DigitalSecurity Controls will not accept any shipment whatsoever for
which prior authorization hasnot been obtained.
Conditions to Void Warranty
Thiswarrantyappliesonlyto defectsin partsand workmanship relating to normaluse. It doesnot cover:
damage incurred in shipping or handling;
l
damage caused bydisaster such asfire, flood, wind, earthquake or lightning;
l
damage due to causesbeyond the controlof DigitalSecurityControlssuch asexcessive voltage, mechanicalshockor water damage;
l
damage caused byunauthorized attachment, alterations, modificationsor foreign objects;
l
damage caused byperipherals(unlesssuch peripheralswere supplied byDigitalSecurityControls);
l
defectscaused byfailure to provide a suitable installation environment for the products;
l
damage caused byuse of the productsfor purposesother than those for which it wasdesigned;
l
damage fromimproper maintenance;
l
damage arising out of anyother abuse, mishandling or improper application of the products.

Items Not Covered by Warranty
In addition to the itemswhich void the Warranty, the following items shallnot be covered byWarranty: (i) freight cost to the repair centre; (ii) productswhich are not iden-
tified with DSC's product labeland lot number or serialnumber; (iii) products disassembled or repaired in such a manner as to adverselyaffect performance or prevent
adequate inspection or testing to verifyany warrantyclaim. Access cardsor tags returned for replacement under warrantywill be credited or replaced at DSC's option.
Productsnot covered by this warranty, or otherwise out of warrantydue to age, misuse, or damage shall be evaluated, and a repair estimate shallbe provided. No
repair workwillbe performed until a valid purchase order is received fromthe Customer and a Return Merchandise Authorisation number (RMA) isissued byDSC's Cus-
tomer Service.
DigitalSecurityControls'sliabilityfor failure to repair the product under thiswarrantyafter a reasonable number of attemptswillbe limited to a replacement of the product,
asthe exclusive remedy for breach of warranty. Under no circumstancesshall DigitalSecurity Controlsbe liable for anyspecial, incidental, or consequential damages
based upon breach of warranty, breach of contract, negligence, strict liability, or anyother legaltheory. Such damagesinclude, but are not limited to, lossof profits, loss
of the product or any associated equipment, cost of capital, cost of substitute or replacement equipment, facilitiesor services, down time, purchaser'stime, the claims of
third parties, including customers, and injuryto property. The laws of some jurisdictionslimit or do not allow the disclaimer of consequentialdamages. If the lawsof such a
jurisdiction applyto anyclaimbyor against DSC, the limitationsand disclaimerscontained here shallbe to the greatest extent permitted bylaw. Some statesdo not allow
the exclusion or limitation of incidentalor consequentialdamages, so that the above maynot applyto you.
Disclaimer of Warranties
This warranty contains the entire warranty and shall be in lieu of any and all other warranties, whether expressed or implied (including all implied
warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose) And of all other obligations or liabilities on the part of Digital Security Controls
Digital Security Controls neither assumes responsibility for, nor authorizes any other person purporting to act on its behalf to modify or to change
this warranty, nor to assume for it any other warranty or liability concerning this product.
This disclaimer of warranties and limited warranty are governed by the laws of the province of Ontario, Canada.
DigitalSecurityControlsrecommends that the entire system be completelytested on a regular basis. However, despite frequent testing, and due to, but not limited to,
criminaltampering or electricaldisruption, it ispossible for thisproduct to failto performasexpected.
Installer's Lockout
Anyproductsreturned to DSC which have the Installer'sLockout option enabled and exhibit no other problemswillbe subject to a service charge.
Out of Warranty Repairs
DigitalSecurityControlswillat itsoption repair or replace out-of-warrantyproductswhich are returned to itsfactoryaccording to the following conditions. Anyone return-
ing goodsto DigitalSecurityControls must first obtain an authorization number. DigitalSecurityControlswillnot accept anyshipment whatsoever for which prior author-
ization hasnot been obtained.
Productswhich Digital SecurityControls determines to be repairable will be repaired and returned. A set fee which Digital SecurityControls has predetermined and
which maybe revised fromtime to time, willbe charged for each unit repaired.
Productswhich DigitalSecurity Controlsdetermines not to be repairable willbe replaced bythe nearest equivalent product available at that time. The current market
price of the replacement product willbe charged for each replacement unit.
IMPORTANT - READ CAREFULLY: DSC Software purchased with or without Productsand Componentsis copyrighted and is purchased under the following license
terms:
ThisEnd-User License Agreement ("EULA") isa legalagreement between You (the company, individualor entitywho acquired the Software and anyrelated Hardware)
and DigitalSecurityControls, a division of Tyco SafetyProductsCanada Ltd. ("DSC"), the manufacturer of the integrated securitysystemsand the developer of the soft-
ware and anyrelated productsor components("HARDWARE") which You acquired.
If the DSC software product ("SOFTWARE PRODUCT" or "SOFTWARE") is intended to be accompanied by HARDWARE, and is NOT accompanied by new
HARDWARE, You may not use, copy or install the SOFTWARE PRODUCT. The SOFTWARE PRODUCT includes computer software, and may include associated
media, printed materials, and "online" or electronicdocumentation.
Anysoftware provided along with the SOFTWAREPRODUCT that isassociated with a separate end-user license agreement islicensed to You under the termsof that
license agreement.
Byinstalling, copying, downloading, storing, accessing or otherwise using the SOFTWARE PRODUCT, You agree unconditionally to be bound by the terms of this
EULA, even if thisEULAisdeemed to be a modification of anypreviousarrangement or contract. If You do not agree to the termsof thisEULA, DSC isunwilling to license
the SOFTWAREPRODUCT to You, and You have no right to use it.
SOFTWARE PRODUCT LICENSE
The SOFTWAREPRODUCT isprotected bycopyright laws and internationalcopyright treaties, aswellas other intellectualpropertylawsand treaties. The SOFTWARE
PRODUCT islicensed, not sold.
