Listening to the radio

Use buttons on the unit when using the
DJ mode.

Select FM or AM band.
Press TUNER/BAND repeatedly.

Select tuning mode.
Using the remote
Press TUNING MODE on the remote
repeatedly.
Using the OPTIONS menu
Press OPTIONS and turn the search
dial clockwise or counterclockwise
to select "TUNING MODE. " Then,
select "AUTO" or "MANUAL, "
and then press ENTER. To exit the
OPTIONS menu, press OPTIONS.

Perform tuning.
For automatic scanning
Select "AUTO" in the OPTIONS
menu, or press TUNING MODE
on the remote repeatedly until
"AUTO" appears, and then press
TUNING +/ (or +/ on the
remote) repeatedly. Scanning stops
automatically when a station is tuned
in, and "TUNED" and "STEREO" (for
stereo programs only) appear.
If "TUNED" does not appear and the
scanning does not stop, press  to
stop scanning, then perform manual
tuning (below).
For manual tuning
Select "MANUAL" in the OPTIONS
menu, or press TUNING MODE on
the remote repeatedly until "AUTO"
and "PRESET" disappear, and then
press TUNING +/ (or +/ on the
remote) repeatedly to tune in the
desired station.
Tip on reducing static noise (DJ-off
mode only)
To reduce static noise on a weak FM stereo
station, press FM MODE on the remote
repeatedly until "MONO" appears to turn off
stereo reception.
Presetting a radio station
Make sure to turn off the DJ mode and
use buttons on the remote to perform
operations.

Tune in the desired station.

Press TUNER MEMORY to select the
tuner memory mode.
