 The USB device does not work
properly. Refer to the USB device
operation manual for how to deal with
this problem. If the problem persists,
contact your nearest Sony dealer.
Play does not start.
 Turn off the system and reconnect the
USB device, then turn on the system.
 Connect the supported USB device
(page 74).
 Press  (or  on the remote) to
start playback.
 Make sure that respective USB
function (USB 1 or USB 2) is selected
for the connected USB device.
Play does not start from the first
track.
 The system is in program play or
shuffle play mode. Set the play mode to
normal play mode (page 37).
Files cannot be played back.
 The audio file does not have the
extension ".mp3", ".wma", ".m4a", ".mp4"
or ".3gp".
 The data is not stored in MP3/WMA/
AAC format.
 MP3 files in MP3 PRO format cannot
be played back.
 Some AAC files may not be played
back correctly.
 The system cannot play an AAC
file when the file contains multiple
audio tracks or when the file contains
video data as a part of a stream in the
content.
 WMA files in Windows Media Audio
Lossless and Professional format
cannot be played back.
 USB storage device formatted with file
systems other than FAT16 or FAT32
are unsupported.*
 If you use a partitioned USB storage
device, only files on the first partition
can be played back.
 Playback is possible up to 8 levels.
 The number of folders has exceeded
1,000.
 The number of files has exceeded
5,000.
 Files that are encrypted or protected by
passwords, etc. cannot be played back.
 Simultaneous playback in DJ mode
(page 51) cannot function when audio
files to be played back on CHANNEL
A and B have a same sampling
frequency (48 kHz or 32 kHz). Either
audio file should have a sampling
frequency of 44.1 kHz.
* This system supports FAT16 and FAT32, but
some USB storage devices may not support
all of these FAT. For details, see the operation
manual of each USB storage device or
contact the manufacturer.
Seamless play mode or seamless
shuffle play does not function.
 The system is in DJ mode.
 Audio files to be played back with the
seamless mode have a same sampling
frequency (48 kHz or 32 kHz). Either
audio file should have a sampling
frequency of 44.1 kHz.
