MP files cannot be played back.
 The disc is not recorded in a format
that conforms to ISO9660 Level
1/Level 2, or Joliet in the expansion
format.
 MP3 files does not have the extension
".mp3".
 MP3 files in format other than MPEG
1 Audio Layer-3 cannot be played back.
 The system can play back to a depth of
8 folders only.
 The system can recognized up to 512
folders and 512 MP3 files on a disc.
 MP3 files in MP3 PRO format cannot
be played back.
USB device
Audio source cannot be transferred
or recorded.
 Make sure that the USB device is
connected to the
(USB 1) port is for playback only.
 You are using an unsupported USB
device. See "Compatible USB devices
with this system" (page 74) for the
supported device types.
You cannot start transferring or
recording to a USB device.
 The following problems may have
occurred.
 The USB device is full.
 The number of files and folders on
the USB device has reached the
upper limit.
 The USB device is write-protected.
 You are using an unsupported USB
device. See "Compatible USB devices
with this system" (page 74) for the
supported device types.
Transferring or recording is stopped
before it is finished.
 You are using an unsupported USB
device. See "Compatible USB devices
with this system" (page 74) for the
supported device types.

GB
(USB 2) port. The
 The USB device is not formatted
correctly. Refer to the USB device
operation manual for how to format.
 Turn off the system and remove the
USB device. If the USB device has a
power switch, turn the USB device
off and then on again after removing
it from the system. Then perform
transferring or recording again.
 If the transfer, recording and erase
operations are repeated multiple times,
the file structure within the USB device
becomes fragmented. Refer to the
operating instructions supplied with
the USB device for how to deal with
this problem. If the problem persists,
contact your nearest Sony dealer.
 You have removed the USB device
connected to the USB 1 port while
performing the USB 1USB 2
synchronized transfer or USB 1USB
2 REC 1 transfer (page 30).
Transferring or recording results in
an error.
 You are using an unsupported USB
device. See "Compatible USB devices
with this system" (page 74) for the
supported device types.
