Enjoying DJ-style music

Using the rhythm pads (BEAT
BLEND)
Using the rhythm pads on the unit,
you can add a variety of rhythms such
as percussion, voice or scratch sounds
during playback. This function can be
used with any source.
To
Do this
Add the pad
Press PAD 1, PAD 2,
sound
PAD 3 or PAD 4 to
produce the respective
pad sound.

Create a
Hold down two
combination of
pads together as
pad sounds
any of the following
combinations.
 PAD 1 and PAD 2
 PAD 3 and PAD 4
 PAD 1 and PAD 4
 PAD 2 and PAD 3
"CHAIN "
appears in the display.

Turn OPERATION
JOG clockwise or
counterclockwise to
output selected each
pad sound separately.
To change the PAD sound
Hold down any of the PADs, and then
turn OPERATION JOG clockwise or
counterclockwise to select the desired
PAD sound.
When the desired name of the PAD
sound appears in the display, release your
finger from the PAD. The sound you
select will be allocated to the PAD.
To adjust the volume of the PAD sound
Press BEAT LEVEL repeatedly. The
display changes cyclically as follows:
LEVEL 1  LEVEL 2  LEVEL 3 
LEVEL MAX  LEVEL 1...
Tip
You can use the rhythm pads and the beat
function together.
Using the Auto BPM function
You can enjoy music with the optimal
beat pattern calculated by the system
when using the CD, USB 1 or USB 2
function.
"BPM" (Beat Per Minute) is calculated
automatically and reproduces the beat
pattern to match the source music.
The auto BPM function can be used
in DJ-off mode with audio tracks on
a CD-DA disc, MP3 files on a disc or
MP3/WMA/AAC files stored in the USB
device.
