Hold down BEAT PATTERN and
turn OPERATION JOG clockwise
or counterclockwise to select the
desired beat pattern.

Press BEAT ON/OFF repeatedly
to turn on the auto BPM function
during playback.
The auto BPM function is turned on
by default.
Notes
 The auto BPM function cannot be used when
in DJ mode.
 The system recalculates the optimal BPM
by the auto BPM function when you start
playback in DJ-off mode even if you have
customized the BPM in DJ mode.
 The auto BPM function cannot be used
when the audio sources are radio programs
or sound from the connected audio
components.
 The auto BPM function is automatically
turned off when changing the beat speed
(page 51). However, you can turn on the auto
BPM function by pressing BPM CONTROL
even after the function is automatically
turned off.
 The BPM calculated by the auto BPM
function may not be correct value depending
on the music type.
 The BPM may not be calculated correctly due
to the audio quality when the audio file with
a lower sampling frequency is played back.
Customizing the beat function
By customizing the beat function, you
can enjoy your own beat-rhythms with
source music.
This function can be used with the
AUDIO IN 1, 2 or TUNER function
in DJ-off mode and all functions in DJ
mode.

Press BPM CONTROL once to start the
tempo input.

By following the tempo of the music,
press BPM CONTROL 4 times to input
the tempo.
Each time you press BPM CONTROL,
the flashing "B" will be replaced with
a box.

Press BPM CONTROL again to start
playback of the beat pattern.
The BPM (Beat Per Minute) value
appears in the display.
