GENERAL VIEW OF APPLICATION

2.1

APPLICATION

SuperFinish 17ex is
the airless atomization of di erent painting materials.
With the AirCoat regulator, which is available as an accessory,
the SF 17ex can also be used for air-supported atomization (Air-
Coat). Thanks to the particularly ne atomization, the Air Coat
technique is especially suitable for top-quality paint work.
The SF 17ex is suitable for use in potentially explosive areas
(zone 1) in accordance with the 2014/34/EU directive.
2.2

COATING MATERIAL

Diluting lacquers and paints or those containing solvents, two-
component coating materials, dispersion and latex paints.
No other materials should be used for spraying without WAG-
NER's approval.
Pay attention to the Airless quality of the coat-
ing materials to be processed.
The unit is able to process coating materials with up to
15,000 mPas. If highly viscous coating materials cannot be taken
in or the performance of the unit is to low, the paint must be
diluted in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
Attention: Make sure, when stirring up with
motor-driven agitators that no air bubbles are
stirred in. Air bubbles disturb when spraying
and can, in fact, lead to interruption of opera-
tion.

COATING MATERIALS WITH SHARP EDGED
ADDITIONAL MATERIALS
These particles have a strong wear and tear e ect on valves and
tips, but also on the heating hose and spray gun. This impairs
the durability of these wearing parts considerably.

FILTERING

Su cient ltering is required for fault-free operation. To this
purpose the unit is equipped with a suction lter (Item 1) and
an insertion lter in the spray gun (Item 2). Regular inspection
of these lters for damage or soiling is urgently recommended.
A high-pressure lter (Item 3) -available as accessory- is rising
up the ltering surface and will make the work more comfort-
able.
