Tag, disconnect and plug the hydraulic hoses
from the "V1" and "V2" ports of the jib
boom/platform rotate manifold. Cap the fittings
on the manifold.
Bodily injury hazard. Spraying
hydraulic oil can penetrate and
burn skin. Loosen hydraulic
connections very slowly to allow
the oil pressure to dissipate
gradually. Do not allow oil to
squirt or spray.
10 Remove the hose and cable cover from the
side of the jib boom.
11 Locate all electrical cables under the boom at
the pivot end that enter the cable track.
12 Tag and disconnect the electrical connectors
for all cables that enter the cable track.
13 Remove the retaining fasteners from the
electrical connector receptacles for the cables
that enter the cable track.
14 Carefully pull the cables and connector
receptacles out of the primary boom.
15 Tag, disconnect and plug all hydraulic hoses
that enter the cable track from the bulkhead
fittings at the pivot end of the boom.

16 Pull the hydraulic hoses out of the primary
boom.
17 Remove the cotter pin from the upper cable
track at the platform end of the boom.
Note: Always replace the cotter pin with a new one.

18 Remove the cable track pull tube guide
fasteners from the cable track guide at the
platform end of the boom. Remove the cable
track guide from the boom.
19 Place blocks in between the upper and lower
cable tracks and secure the upper and lower
tracks together.
20 Attach a lifting strap from an overhead crane to
the cable track.
21 Remove the mounting fasteners that attach the
lower cable track to the boom.
22 Carefully remove the cable track from the
machine and place it on a structure capable of
supporting it.

removed from the machine.
