This server is equipped with two "PCI riser cards" to which the PCI board can be installed. One low profile PCI
board can be installed to PCI #1 and PCI#2 riser cards respectively.

Precautions for PCI card

Read the following precautions when installing or removing a PCI card.
Do not touch the terminals of the riser cards and the leads of electronic components with your bare hand.
Make sure the card type before connecting it to riser card.
This server is not equipped with the LED connector to indicate the disk access that may be provided by the
RAID controller or others.
The PCI device (including on-board PCI device) of the same type may differently recognize due to OS or
RAID configuration utility.
If the LAN adapter is added, use a flat-blade screwdriver, etc. when pulling the cable out of the LAN
connector. At this time, take extreme care not to allow a flat-blade screwdriver to damage the LAN connector
or other boards.
If the device (PCI board or USB device) that can be booted is added or the Boot Mode is changed, the boot

If the installed device is an HDD under an optional RAID controller, the bootable device is the ( "SCSI Hard
Drive, Partition z") PCI RAID Adapter. (xx changes depending on the PCI slot where a RAID
controller is installed)
If a hard disk drive that contain OS is not connected with RAID controller, LAN card (network boot), or Fibre
