Control units
You must equip each supply unit with one control unit (and memory unit) which controls all
parallel supply modules.
The control unit kit contains a BCU control unit and memory unit with the diode supply
control program.
The control unit kit does not contain any cables but you need to acquire them separately:
•
You must connect the control unit to each supply module with a pair of fiber optic
cables. You can order them from ABB. See section
modules
on page 187.
•
You can supply 24 V DC for the control unit from the diode supply module.
(Alternatively, you can take the power supply from another suitable power source or
use both for redundancy.) You must acquire the cables separately. Use a suitable
standard installation cable. Use appropriate plug connector for the connection to the
diode supply module. See section
on page 188.
