Cleaning the heatsink

The module heatsink fins pick up dust from the cooling air. Clean the heatsink when
necessary. Overtemperature warnings and faults indicate that the heatsink is not clean.
WARNING! Only qualified electricians are allowed to do this work. Read the
complete safety instructions of the drive. Ignoring the instructions can cause
physical injury or death, or damage to the equipment.
1. Disconnect the drive from the AC power line and make sure it is safe to start the work.

2. Recommendation: Remove the module from cabinet to make sure that you do not
blow the dust inside the cabinet. See section

Replacing the fan of the D8T supply module
3. Remove the cooling fan of the supply module as described under
this chapter.
4. Prevent the dust from entering adjoining equipment: Blow clean, dry and oilfree
compressed air through the module from bottom to top, simultaneously using a
vacuum cleaner at the air outlet to trap the dust.
5. Refit the cooling fan, and the module.
