Maintenance Manual

3. Detergents

You should use

A soft, non-fluffy cloth ( eg: cotton or microfibre)
Cotton buds
A mild detergent (basic). The cloth/cotton buds can be dampened but make sure
no water is going inside the acceptor. The driving belts and the wheels can be
cleaned with Isopropanol. Please avoid any contact between the lenses and
alcohol or other solvents.
An alternative way of cleaning, would be using our JCM cleaning cards. These
cleaning cards are designed specifically for cleaning on site. It needs to be
mentioned however, that those cards do not replace thorough cleaning.

What you should not use!

Hard or pointy items should not be used when cleaning. They can scratch the lenses.
Do not use solvents like petrol or spirit! These can lead to cloudy optical lenses.
Do not clean with compressed air.

4. Maintenance- and Cleaning intervals

The head unit should be cleaned every two to three months. (Fig. 02). This applies to general
cleaning. Under unfavourable circumstances the head unit should be cleaned more often.
