8.6.2 Snapshots

With the snapshot feature, a snapshot of a camera image can
be saved any time, e.g. to capture an important event during
live surveillance. The snapshot feature is disabled in the factory
settings. Refer to chapter 7.14 for information on how to
enable the snapshot feature. To save a snapshot:
1) Use the left mouse button to click the live image to be
recorded. (In the single-image mode, simply press the left
mouse button.) The quick-selection bar will appear (Fig. 8-9).
2) Click the snapshot icon
3) For information on how to show and export snapshots,
refer to chapter 8.7.4.

8.7 Replaying recordings

A current recording will not be interrupted when a recording
is being replayed.
8.7.1 Replaying the most recent 5 minutes
recorded by a camera
1) Use the left mouse button to click the live camera image
whose recording is to be replayed. The quick-selection bar
will appear (Fig. 8-9).
2) Click the icon
. The replay of the 5 minutes most recently
recorded will start and a control bar will be shown:

3) To stop and continue the replay, use the buttons
4) To view single images one after the other, click the pause

5) For fast forward or fast reverse, keep the left mouse button
pressed and move the replay button forwards or backwards.
6) To stop the replay at any time, click the red ×.
8.7.2 Playing specific recordings
Saving a section of a recording
to an external device
To call up the replay function, either press the button  on
the remote control or
show the toolbar by means of the right mouse button and
click the replay icon

When the view of the replay function is called up, the current
day will be selected in the calendar (highlighted in yellow).
The days for which recordings are available will be indicated
by an orange triangle.
1) Click the day whose recordings are to be replayed. To go
to a different month, click the white arrow < or > before /

2) To select the camera channels to be replayed, click the
appropriate fields
channel numbers CH... To select all channels that have
been recorded, click the field to the left of "Select". Then
the time scale at the bottom of the menu will indicate when
recordings were made and how they were started (Normal
= by the weekly recording schedule).
3) Using the mouse pointer, click the coloured recording bar
in the time scale to define the exact time point at which
the replay of the recording is to start. If you click to the
left of the beginning of the recording, the entire recording
will be replayed.
4) To start the replay, click the icon

5) The view for replaying a recording is clearly structured and
self-explanatory. The following table lists the functions

To save a section of a recording
to an external device:
1. Connect an external hard disk or a USB flash drive to
one of the two USB ports.
2. Replay the recording and click the icon at the begin-
ning and at the end of the desired section.
3. With the second click, a window for selecting the
channels will appear. Click "OK" to confirm your
selection.
4. Another window will appear; select the video format
and click "Save".
5. In the following window, select the storage medium
and, if required, a folder and then click "OK". To close
the window, click "Cancel".
To replay video files, install the program "VideoPlayer...
exe" (available on the CD* supplied) on a computer.
