Operation

The most comfortable way to operate the recorder is using the
mouse. Therefore, these instructions do not focus on operation
by means of the remote control.
Switch on the recorder with the rocker switch (14) located on
the rear of the unit. After a few seconds, the MONACOR logo
will appear on the monitor connected:
After approx. 30 seconds, the screen will be dark for approx.
30 seconds; then the camera images for live surveillance will
appear (chapter 8.3). The internal alarm signal device will
sound a few times to indicate correct operation. In case of a
failure or alarm, refer to chapter 9.

8.1 User lock

The user lock for the recorder may have been enabled to pro-
tect the recorder against unauthorized access (chapter 7.7).
This will be indicated by the lock icon
called up.
1) Show the toolbar: Press the right mouse button or move
the mouse pointer to the centre of the lower edge of the
screen.

2) When a function (e. g. the main menu) is called up while
the lock is activated, the window "Login" will appear:

3) Click the field "Password" highlighted with a blue border.
A window with a keyboard will appear. Use the keyboard
to enter the password. Then click "enter" to close the
keyboard window. Finally, click "Login".

8.2 Change of user

When multiple user accounts have been created for the
recorder, each new user must log in with their password to
be able to operate the recorder with the user rights they have
been assigned:
1) Show the toolbar (fig. 8-1): Press the right mouse button
or move the mouse pointer to the centre of the lower edge
of the screen.
2) The lock icon
should be closed. If the lock is open, click
the lock with the left mouse button to close it.
3) Click the closed lock icon: The window "Login" will appear
(fig. 8-2).
4) Click the field "User" highlighted with a blue border. A win-
dow with a keyboard will appear.
5) First use the button "Backspace" to delete the previous
6) Proceed in the same way to enter the password, and then
7) Finally, click "Login".
When the password protection feature is not enabled, it will
suffice to click "Login".

8.3 Live surveillance

When the recorder is switched on, the camera images will be
shown in the live view:

Each camera image includes the number of the camera channel
(CH..) and the name "Camera". If required, the names can be
changed, e. g. to "Stockroom", "Entrance", "Checkout area"
etc. (see chapter 7.10).
Live surveillance will not have any effect on the current record-
ing (indicated by the icon
to magnify individual camera images or a selection of images:
