IOR-232POE. This output is a potential-free relay with a nor-
mally open contact (power rating of 30 V/ 1 A) to which an
acoustic or optical alarm signal device, for example, can be
connected.

6.5 RS485 interface for PTZ control

– model IOR-232POE only –
Connect cameras where pan, tilt and zoom can only be
adjusted via an RS-485 interface to the screw terminals
"RS485" (17). Connect the contacts "−" (= RS-485-A) and
"+" (= RS-485-B") to the corresponding contacts of the first
camera. An additional camera can be connected in parallel to
the connections of the first camera etc. until all cameras are
connected in a chain. To reduce interference, twisted cables
should be used. At the final camera of the chain, terminate
the two cables with a 120 Ω resistor (this is often possible by
means of a switch at the camera).
To be able to address the cameras independently from
the recorder, assign an individual address to each camera
(via a menu of the camera). At the recorder, set the address
to be used to control the respective camera as well as the
transmission parameters and protocol the camera requires
(chapter  7.13).

6.6 Network

For remote control and when the camera is integrated into a
network, connect the jack WAN (7) of the recorder to a local
network or to a router. Always observe the data security notes
in chapter 3!

6.7 Power supply

For the models IOR-204 and IOR-208, connect the power
supply unit to the jack "48 V⎓" (15) and to a mains socket
(230 V/ 50 Hz).
For the model IOR-232POE, use the mains cable provided
to connect the mains jack (18) to a mains socket (230 V/ 50 Hz).
6.7.1 Inserting / Replacing batteries
of the remote control
To insert the batteries (2 × 1.5 V, size AAA), remove the battery
compartment cover on the rear of the remote control. Insert
the batteries as indicated in the compartment and then close
the cover.
If the remote control is not used for a longer time, remove
the batteries as a precaution so that the remote control will
not be damaged in case the batteries should leak.
Never put batteries in the household waste. To protect
the environment, always take them to a special waste
disposal, e. g. collection container at your retailer.
