3. Set up the system unit
4. Connect the monitor cable to the system unit ^—| ^
5. Set up the monitor
6. Connect the keyboard to the monitor
7. Connect the pointing device to the monitor
8. Install any options
9. Connect the power cords
10. Power up and test the VAXstation 2000
11. Format any fixed disks
12. Set the default boot device
After all the steps above have been completed, install the networking
hardware and install the operating system software.
