If you're operating the CD-2e on batteries, you won't be able to perform CD-related
operations such as recording, playing, or writing songs, etc.

Batteries to use
AA alkaline batteries
* You cannot use zinc-carbon batteries or rechargeable batteries (such as
rechargeable nickel metal hydride batteries).
Turn the power off.
Disconnect all cables from the CD-2e.
Turn the CD-2e upside down and remove the battery cover.
four corners (or two sides) so that stress is not placed on the buttons or knobs, possibly damaging
them. Also, handle the CD-2e with care, and avoid dropping it.

Install six AA alkaline batteries.

Close the battery cover and turn the CD-2e right side up.
On the CD-2e's rear panel, set the [POWER] switch to the "ON" position.
When the power is turned on, the screen will light.
