Connecting External Speakers

You can connect external speakers to the LINE OUT jack and use them to listen to playback
from the CD-2e or the sound received at its inputs. If you connect the LINE OUT jack to the
input jack of your digital piano, you'll be able to listen to the sound using the built-in speakers
of your digital piano.

Note
You must turn on the power using the following procedure. If you fail to observe this
procedure, you risk causing malfunction or speaker damage.
Turn off the power of the CD-2e.
turn the [MIC] knob all the way to the left so that it's off.
Minimize the volume of the external speakers (or digital piano) you'll be
connecting, and turn off the power.
Connect the CD-2e's rear panel LINE OUT jack to your external speakers
(or digital piano).

Turn on the power of the CD-2e.
Turn on the power of your external speakers (or digital piano).
Turn the [VOLUME] knob to adjust the output level of the LINE OUT jack.
Adjust the volume of your external speakers (or digital piano).
Important
● You can use external speakers that have a built-in amplifier (e.g., EDIROL MA-7A).
● If you hear acoustic feedback (a squealing sound) while using the mic, try changing the
direction of the mic, moving it away from the speakers, or lowering the volume.
