6-30 Laser Scanning Unit (LSU)
1. Before you disassemble the Laser scanning unit,
you should remove :
♦ Side covers (See page 6-10)
♦ Top cover (See page 6-11)
2. Remove the two screws securing the Fuser guide
to the main frame and take out the Fuser guide.

3. Unplug the two connectors from the Mother
board and remove the four screws securing the
LSU to the main frame. Then, take out the LSU.

Note: When you reassemble:
¥ Be careful not to be damaged by static electricity
when you replace the LSU. Static electricity affects
the image quality.
¥ Make sure that you do not remove the two screws
located on the top of the LSU.
¥ If it is difficult to plug the connectors to the Mother
board, remove the SMPS first and then plug in the
connectors.
