Installing the NVMe drives
NVMe drives are supported in the HPE Apollo r2600 Gen10 Chassis and in the HPE Apollo r2800 Gen10
Chassis with 16 NVMe. For more information, see Drive bay numbering.
Prerequisites
Before installing this option, be sure you have the following:
The components included with the hardware option kit.
Procedure
1. Observe the following alert:
CAUTION: To prevent improper cooling and thermal damage, do not operate the server unless
all bays are populated with either a component or a blank.
2. Remove the drive blank, if installed.
3. Press the Do Not Remove button to open the release handle.
