Mapping of process data in the process image of fieldbus systems
The representation of the I/O modules' process data in the process image depends
on the fieldbus coupler/controller used. Please take this information as well as the
particular design of the respective control/status bytes from the section "Fieldbus
Specific Design of the Process Data" included in the description concerning the
process image of the fieldbus coupler/controller used.

The I/O module provides the fieldbus coupler/controller 5 bytes in the input and
output process image via 1 logical channel. The data received from the sensor is
stored in the 3 input bytes (D0 ... D2), starting with the least significant input byte
D0. The input byte (D3) and 4 output bytes (D0 ... D3), as well as the control
byte (C0) are not used. The status byte (S0) is used to display status information
such as sensor and wiring errors (variants 750-630/000-004, /000-005 and /000-
007 only). How many bytes carry status information depends on the variant used
(see Table "Variants" in the section "Information about this Documentation" >
"Scope of Validity").
Processing the status byte by the fieldbus coupler/controller is optional, i.e.,
access or evaluation of the status information depends on the respective fieldbus
system.
