configuration from DHCP or non-volatile stor-
age. When set to 2h, attribute #5 contains
valid configuration from hardware settings.
Remaining values are reserved for future
use.

Bit:
Meaning:
0-1:
Always 0. For more information, consult the
CIP specifications.

If set to 1, the device is capable of acting as
a DHCP client. The bit is set to 0 if attribute
#24 (Enable DHCP Client) is disabled in the
Ethernet Host Object (F9h), p. 169
3:
Always 0. For more information, consult the
CIP specifications.
4:
The 'Configuration Settable'-bit reflects the
value of instance attribute #9 in the "Ether-
Net/IP Host Object (F8h)" on page 161.
5:
The module is hardware configurable when
this bit is set to 1. The bit will be set if any of
the address attributes is set in the Network
Configuration Object (04h) during setup or if
attribute #6 (Hardware configurable address)
in the Application Object (FFh) is set.
6:
Always 0. For more information, consult the
CIP specifications.
7:
If set to 1, the device is capable of detecting
address conflicts. The bit is set to 0 if ad-
dress conflict detection is disabled in the
Ethernet Host Object, see page
