3.4.2 Voice Communication

Codec Settings
The following is the procedure to set the voice encoding rules.
1.
Click 1.2.2 Voice Communication.
2.
Assign each parameter for each channel, referring to the descriptions below.
Parameter & Description
Codec Priority
Specifies the priority of the codecs to be used.
The order of priority is as follows: 1 (High), 3
(Low)
Packet Interval
Specifies the interval time until the next RTP
packet is sent.
VAD
Specifies whether to use Voice Activity Detection
(VAD).
The VAD conserves bandwidth by detecting
silent periods during a call and suppressing the
packets of silence from being sent to the network.
