4.5.8 LID_BTN# Configuration

This option allows determining the management of LID_BTN# signal. When this item is set to "Open" or "Closed", then the O.S. will always consider the status of
external LID as if it were Open or Closed, independently by the real status. When the item is set to Normal, then the O.S. will consider the External Lid as OPEN
when the signal is high, and as CLOSED when the signal is low. Inverted configuration is the opposite.
Please consider that when this item is set to Open or Closed (fixed values), then Wake from Suspended States using LID Signal will not be possible.
4.5.9 Thermal Management TM2
This option allows enabling or disabling TM2 thermal management for Atom N2xxx CPUs (this feature is not available on Atom D2550 CPU).
®
Please check Intel
Atom processors' specifications for accurate thermal management behaviour's description.
4.5.10 Active Cooling Mid Temp. / High Temp. / Mid DC (%) / High DC (%)
These four items together allows determining the management of the FAN managed by internal connector CN2.
"Mid Temp." is the first temperature threshold that causes the FAN activation, at a Duty Cycle defined with "Mid DC (%)" item.
"High Temp." is the second (higher) temperature threshold, for which it is required a higher Duty cycle for the FAN, so that it rotates at a greater speed, allowing a
bigger airflow and therefore a better cooling of the system.
A typical scenario is a 50% duty cycle at a reasonably low temperature defined by Mid Temp. (like 50°C, for example) and a 100% duty cycle (Full Sped) at the
higher temperature defined in "High temp." item.
4.5.11 External FAN Duty Cycle
By using this menu item, it is possible to set the Duty Cycle of optional External FAN, managed through pin 196 (it can also be used as a generic PWMOUT signal).
4.5.12 Power Failure Resume Type
This option allows you to determine how the board must act after a power failure event: in case the option is "Always ON", the board will start every time the power
supply is present; when the option is "Always OFF", the board will not start automatically when the power supply returns.
Finally, with "Last State" option, the board will remember its state before power failure event. In this way, when power supply returns, the board will start
automatically if it was turned on, and will remain off if it was turned off.
4.5.13 SMBALERT# wake capability
Using this option, it is possible to enable the possibility for SMBALERT# signal to wake up the system (from S3 state only or from all suspended states). Possible
options are Never, Always, or S3 Only.
4.5.14 LID Wake Configuration
Using this option, it is possible to enable the possibility for LID_BTN# signal to wake up the system (from S3 state only or from all suspended states). Possible
options are Never, Always, or S3 Only.
Please consider that if LID_BTN# signal is set fixed to "Open" or "Closed" (see par. 4.5.8) then this menu item will be ineffective.
