Getting Started
This user guide is intended to be read while in front of a running AERO.2000 unit. It is most
helpful if the source(s) that will be used is actually connected to the AERO.2000. Doing this
provides feedback to the user, via the meters and IP audio monitoring, about the configuration
changes being made.
To make learning your way around the AERO.2000 as useful and rewarding as possible there is
some information that you should have at hand:
• The IP address and subnet mask to be assigned to the AERO.2000.
• Any gateway and DNS information for the network to which it will be attached.
• NTP server address(s)
• The IP address of the PC that will be used to connect to the AERO.2000.
• Knowledge of where the audio program(s) are embedded in the SDI source.
Knowledge of where the loudness controlled audio program(s) need to be embedded in
the SDI output.
Having this information will allow you to configure the unit for use as you learn to navigate the
AERO.2000 using both the front panel screen and controls and NfRemote.
