There are many adjustable parameters that allow UPMAX to be tuned to suit the source
material. The flexibility allows UPMAX and AutoMAX to be used by broadcasters of sports,
music, entertainment, and mixed content and for both live and recorded programs.
A preset that we call "Center Diverged is used by a great many broadcasters that have varied
content throughout the day. The settings are shown in Figures 6-16, 6-17 and 6-18, below. TV
channels that specialize in a particular content type such as sports, old TV shows or movies can
finely tune UPMAX to present the best possible 5.1 surround sound from their stereo content.
1. UPMAX Parameters: Instance 1 > UpMAX II Pgm 1 > Main Settings >

compatible, low pass filtered, and bass enhanced low frequency content from
the L, C and R channels.
