AERO.2000 is reliable and easy to install. Most problems turn out to be wiring or configuration
errors. However, it is a powerful processor with many possible configurations and user-
adjustable parameters.
• If you cannot find the source of a problem, simplify the signal path.
• Hard bypass is one of AERO.2000's best troubleshooting features. To instantly remove
AERO.2000 from the signal path, go to:
System > I/O Setup > H/W I/O Setup > Master Bypass and enable the Master Bypass
Master Bypass enables the relay bypass of SDI in to SDI out and each AES input to its
corresponding output.
• To remove processing from the signal path but retain the signal flow each DRC can be
switched to bypass. See Fig. 6.1, below.
• Bypass sets all gain control elements to unity. The entire signal path and the latency
is maintained but no processing is active.
