96 Installation checklist
Check that...
The cooling air is able to flow freely.
The motor and the driven equipment are ready for start. (See chapter
connection, and separate document ACS880 multidrive cabinets and modules electrical planning
instructions [3AUA0000102324, English])
ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION (See chapter
multidrive cabinets and modules electrical planning instructions [3AUA0000102324, English])
The DC capacitors of the inverter modules are reformed if stored over one year (refer to Capacitor
reforming instructions [3BFE64059629, English]).
The drive system is grounded properly.
The input (DC) voltage matches the nominal input voltage of the inverter unit.
The power connections at UDC+ and UDC– and their tightening torques are OK.
Appropriate DC fuses are installed.
The motor is of the correct voltage.
The star/delta connection in the motor terminal box is correct.
The motor connections at U2, V2 and W2 and their tightening torques are OK.
The motor cable is routed away from other cables.
There are no power factor compensation capacitors in the motor cable.
The external control connections to the inverter unit are OK (including wiring of emergency stop, safe
torque off and prevention of unexpected start-up circuits).
There are no tools, foreign objects or debris inside the modules or the cabinet.
All shrouds and covers are in place.
