k. Set the 3585A controls for:

Adjust A 1 5R7 for a marker amplitude reading of + 27.00dBm.
m. Replace the metal cover on the A14 thru A 1 6 boards and tighten down the associated
screws.
5·20. I.F. Filter Adjustments
Use a non-metallic ad justing tool jor all I.F. Filter ad justments.
a. Turn the 3585A power off. Remove the aluminum cover on the A17, A 1 8 and A 1 9
boards.
b. Place the A 1 9 board on a PC extender. Restore power to the 3585A.
c. Move the test jumper A 1 91 1 to the "T" position.
The component locatorsjor the IF boards (A 1 7-A 19) are contain­
ed on Figure 5-34.
d. Set the synthesizer for a Frequency of 350KHz and an Amplitude of -2.0dBm.
e. Remove the cable from the A 1 7 1 1 connector.
f. Set the 3585A controls for:

g. Connect the output of the synthesizer to a 50n termination. Connect the output of the
termination to the A 1 7 1 1 connector. Adjust synthesizer output level until it is
3585A Reference Level.
