d. Connect A 1 5TP l to A1 5TP5 using a short clip lead.
e. Connect A DVM to A 1 5TP I . Adjust A 1 5R4 for a reading of 5 .000V
f. Set the 35 85A controls for:
g. Adjust A 1 6R 1 9 for a 35 85A marker reading of + 30.00dBm.
h . Remove the shorting clip between A 1 5TP l and A I 5TP5 . This completes the Video
Filter and A/D Converter Adjustments.
5· 1 7 . Log Amp And 3 0KHz Filter Adjustments
a. Turn the 3585A power off. Remove the metal covers on the A 1 4 thru A 1 9 boards .
b . Place the A14 board on a PC extender . Restore power to the 3585A. Reconnect all
cables .
c. Set the 3585A controls for:
d . Terminate the Tracking Generator output with a 500 feedthrough termination . Using
the BNC to Sealectro adapter cable, connect the termination output to A 1 7 J 1 .
e . Adjust the Tracking Generator Amplitude control so that the peak of the trace is near
the top of the screen .
f. Turn the 3585A COUNTER on . Once the Counter reading has stabilized press the
MKR - CF key. Turn the COUNTER function off. Press CONT sweep key.
g . Adjust A 1 4L5 and L 7 for a maximum marker amplitude reading. Continue adjusting
these inductors until no further improvement can be obtained. Look for a symmetrical wave
shape and maximum amplitude when adjusting.
h . Disconnect the cable from the Tracking Generator to A I 7J l , and reconnect the green
cable to A 1 7J I .
i . Set the Synthesizer controls for :
