Analog Features
The Control Room Monitor and Communications/Headphones sections of Control 24 directs input
from your Pro Tools audio interfaces, two-track playback and other alternate sources. An array of talk-
back, listen and auxiliary bussing functions are included in these sections, and you can switch be-
tween multiple stereo and a variety of Surround monitoring configurations.
Control Room Monitor and Communications Sections
The Line Submixer section of Control 24 consists of eight additional stereo pairs of analog inputs for
auxiliary audio signals such as synchronized MIDI instrument outputs or playback monitor from a
video deck. Each stereo pair has its own level control that is governed by an overall Submixer Master
level control. The stereo submixer output can be routed to the Control Room Monitor mix. The sub-
mixer can also operate as a stand-alone unit, or blend channels for input to Pro Tools or other exter-
nal destinations.
In addition to controlling the audio outputs from your Pro Tools audio interface, Control 24 is an an-
alog "front end" to your Pro Tools system. The 16 mic and line preamps—plus two DI instrument in-
puts—included in Control 24 will accept virtually any audio signal.
