UNDO and SAVE buttons

The UNDO and SAVE buttons perform Undo,
Redo, and Save functions corresponding to op-
erations on the Macintosh. Pro Tools supports
16 levels of undo.
The UNDO button enables Undo/Redo of the
last sixteen edit operations. The UNDO button
LED will be lit when the Undo function is avail-
able for use after an operation, and remain unlit
when there is nothing to undo.
To undo:
Press the UNDO button.
To redo:
Press SHIFT/ADD+ (CTRL)+UNDO.
The SAVE button LED will be lit if the session
has changed from its currently saved state.
To save the changes in a session:
Press the SAVE button. The SAVE button LED
1
will flash when first pressed, indicating the Save
process has been armed.
If you want to abort the Save process at this
2
point, press ESC/CANCEL.
If you want to complete the Save process,
3
press SAVE again. The SAVE button LED will re-
main lit during completion of the Save process,
and then afterwards will turn off.

Keyboard Shortcuts Section

In the lower left of the Control 24 unit, there are
four buttons labeled SHIFT/ADD,
CTL/CLUTCH and OPT(ALT)/ALL. These but-
tons are equivalent to the alpha-numeric key-
board keys of the same name, and modify func-
tions in the same way.
For example, if you press the OPT(ALT)/ALL but-
ton and push the MUTE button on any active
Control 24 channel, all tracks will be muted.
There is a certain amount of overlap in func-
tionality between these buttons and some of the
other global command buttons located to the
left of the channel automation channels. This
redundancy is designed to give you access to the
tools you need in order to work as quickly and
smoothly as possible.
The APPLY TO ALL CHANNELS button, for ex-
ample, overlaps some of the functions of the
OPT/ALL key. If you press the MUTE or SOLO
button on any channel while pressing APPLY
TO ALL CHANNELS, it will become a global
command across all channels (just as it would if
the OPT/ALL key was held down), and all of the
respective LEDs will light.
The APPLY TO SELECTED CHANNELS button is
equivalent to
(CTRL)+SHIFT/ADD.
