Instructions
14.3 Carburetor
internals
 Hold the float assembly
such that the larger ends
of the floats are facing
downwards.
 Locate float needle clip
on the tab in float
assembly from below.
 Locate float hinge pin in
float assembly.
 Locate float needle into
carburetor body and
ensure the float hinge
pin is seated correctly in
carburetor body.
 Locate slotted screw
over hinge pin and
tighten to carburetor
body.
 Ensure free up & down
movement of the float.
Float height setting
procedure
 Hold
carburetor
inverted position.
 Using a vernier caliper /
depth gauge, measure
the
height of the
individual floats from
the carburetor body
bowl seating area.
 Gently bend the tab of
the needle pin seating
area in the float, to
adjust the height.
 Recheck and ensure the
correct float height is
maintained at both float
ends
after
adjustments are carried
out.
Fastener, Size, Tool Usage, Precautions, Photos
D.E Spanner : 14 mm
Torque: 18 + 5 Kgf
CAUTION :
Ensure the individual floats
do not get dislocated during
assembly.
Screw driver
Torque: 20Kgf
in
Float height : 17.1mm
CAUTION :
Exercise utmost caution
while adjusting the float
the
height to prevent damage
to the floats.
