FORWARD-FACING SETUP

When installing this Child Restraint with lower LATCH Connectors OR the vehicle
seat belt, always use the Tether, if a tether anchor is available.
A tether reduces movement of a forward-facing Child Restraint in a crash and
helps to achieve a tight installation. Tether anchor locations vary from vehicle
to vehicle. Refer to your vehicle owner's manual for exact locations, anchor
identification, and requirements.
1. IF TETHER ANCHOR IS AVAILABLE IN YOUR VEHICLE - Before placing the
Child Restraint in the vehicle, remove Tether from the Tether Compartment. If a
Tether anchor is not available, the Tether should be stored properly.
2. Make sure the vehicle is on level ground, if possible.
3. Squeeze the Recline Adjustment Handle
back to adjust so the Child Restraint seat back is aligned with the vehicle seat
back . Only use recline positions 5 through 10 for forward-facing use.

4. Place Child Restraint forward-facing on selected vehicle seat. Make sure it is
not blocking the vehicle belt buckle.
5. Installation on a Level Ground: Locate the Level Indicator label and
readjust the seat recline to any position that the ball falls within the red zone for
FORWARD-FACING
6. Installation on a Slope: If the vehicle is on a slope adjust the seat recline to
position 9 or 10 only.
