idle speed adjustment is not a "cure-all" for other
problems in your engine's fuel-delivery system. Adjusting the
idle will not compensate for a fault elsewhere.

engine must be at nonnal operating temperature for
accurate idle speed adjustment. Ten minutes of
slop-and·go
riding is sufficient to warm a cold engine.

I. Place your motorcycle on its center stand on a firm, level
surface.
2. Shift
into neutral.
Start
the engine.
3. Open the fuel fill compartment.
4. Adjust idle speed with the adjusting knob.
Idle speed: 800 ± 80 rpm (in neutral)
