Engine Oil
Your motorcycle's oil filter has very specific performance
requirements. Use a new genuine Honda oil filter or a filler of
equal quality specified for your model.

I
Using the wrong oil filter may result in leaks or premature
engine damage.
Changing the oil filter requires a special oil filter tool and a
torque wrench. If you do not have these tools and the necessary
skill, we recommend that you have

this service. If a torque wrench is not used for this installation,
see your Honda dealer as soon as possible to verify proper
assembly.
Change the engine oil wilh the engine at normal operating
temperature and the motorcycle on its center stand to assure
complete and rapid draining.
Drain the Engine Oil:
1.
Park lhe motorcycle on its center stand on a finn, level
surface.
2. If the engine is cold, start it and lei it idle for 3-5 minutes.
Turn the engine off. Wait 2-3 minutes for the oil to settle.
3. Place a drain pan under the crankcase oil drain bolt.
