5. Add air by attaching a commercially-available air supply
extension hose 10 the outlet valve in the
right
saddlebag, or
by
using a commercially·available suspension air pump or a
hand pump.
Be sure to remove the exterulion hose after use. (The on-roard
air
compressor
will
not increase rear suspension air pressure
with
the hose attached.
Air
will bleed off through the hose.)
We recommend you do not use a service station compressed
air pump to add air to the front suspension because it is very
easy to exceed the maximum recommended
air
pressure.
Be
sure the air pressure of
both
fork legs is the same.
If it is
necessary to open the air valve to reduce pressure,
be
aware that a small amount of suspension oil may
be
released.

The air pressure can

easily increased or decreased using the
air pressure control switches on the right front fairing. The air
pressure control system includes a limiter that prevents
increasing pressure beyond the recommended maximum. The
recommended range
is:
0-57
psi
(ll4lO kPa, 0-4.0 kg/em').
