C) Enter the Description of the service, the name or IP address,
the External Port number, and the Internal Port number.
D) Select TCP.
The IP address will be that of the computer. To avoid
any conflict, we recommend choosing a Port higher
than 1024 that is not otherwise assigned according
to IANA:
http://www.iana.org/assignments/port-numbers
• Port 11100 is the default for the OPTIMOD-PC Control Application.
• Port 11101 is the default for the OPTIMOD-PC Terminal Application.
If you have 1100 and 1101 cards in the same computer, they must be as-
signed different ports numbers. Continuing by using consecutive num-
bers should be safe, e.g., 11102, 11103, etc., unless there are other appli-
cations using these ports. TCPview can be used to view active ports.
