Enable MLD proxying.

Enabling IPv6 multicast forwarding on a non-querier interface

Typically, only MLD queriers can forward IPv6 multicast traffic and non-queriers cannot. This
prevents IPv6 multicast data from being repeatedly forwarded. If a router interface on the MLD proxy
failed the querier election, enable IPv6 multicast forwarding on the interface to forward IPv6 multicast
data to downstream receivers.
Configuration restrictions and guidelines
On a shared-media network, multiple MLD proxy devices might exist. If a router interface of an MLD
proxy device acts as the querier, do not enable IPv6 multicast forwarding on any router interfaces of
the remaining proxy devices. If you enable IPv6 multicast forwarding on a router interface, duplicate
multicast traffic might be received on the shared-media network.
Configuration procedure
To enable IPv6 multicast forwarding on a non-querier interface:
Step
1.
Enter system view.
2.
Enter interface view.
3.
Enable multicast forwarding on
the interface.

Configuring IPv6 multicast load splitting on an MLD proxy

This feature enables all proxy interfaces on an MLD proxy device to share IPv6 multicast traffic on a
per-group basis.
To enable IPv6 multicast load splitting on an MLD proxy:
Step
1.
Enter system view.
2.
Enter MLD view.
3.
Enable IPv6 multicast load
splitting on an MLD proxy.
