Accessory Installation

(Take a keypad type model for example)

Battery

Attaching the battery:
Insert the two tabs on bottom of the battery into the slots at the bottom of the radio. Push
the top of the battery towards the radio until a click is heard. (See figure 1)

Removing the battery:
Turn off the radio. Push the battery latch on the middle of the radio to remove the upper
side of the battery away from the radio and then remove the battery. (See figure 2)

Antenna

Insert the threaded end of the antenna into the connector on top of the radio. Rotate the
antenna clockwise to fasten it.
Rotate the antenna counterclockwise to remove it. (See figure 3)
