Error indicators

You can identify many common printer problems using the lights
on your printer's control panel. If your printer stops working and
the lights are on or flashing, use the following table of panel light
patterns to diagnose the problem, then follow the recommended
corrective measures.

Paper out
O
No paper is loaded in the
printer.
m
Paper jam
F
Paper has jammed in the
printer.
Automatic Roll Paper Cutter error
The roll paper cannot be
cut with the cutter.

Ink low
F
The ink cartridge is nearly
empty.
Load paper in the sheet feeder,
then press the
m
paper button.
Printer will resume printing and the
light will turn off.
Press the
paper button to eject
m
the jammed paper. If the error
does not clear, open the printer
cover and remove all of the paper
inside, including any torn pieces.
Then, reload the paper in the
sheet feeder and press the
paper button to resume
m
printing.
Remove the roll paper from the
printer. See "Removing Roll Paper
from the Printer" on page 51 for
details.
Obtain a replacement black
(T0331), cyan (T0332), magenta
(T0333), yellow (T0334), light cyan
(T0335), light magenta (T0336) ink
cartridge. To determine which
cartridge is nearly empty, check
the ink level using EPSON Status
Monitor 3 (Windows) or EPSON
StatusMonitor (Macintosh).
