UNPACKING
This­slicer­was­inspected­before­leaving­the­factory.­The­carrier­assumes­full­responsibility­for­the­
safe­delivery­upon­acceptance­of­the­shipment.­Check­for­possible­shipping­damage­immediately­after­
receipt.
If­the­slicer­is­found­to­be­damaged,­complete­the­following­steps:
1.­ Carrier­must­be­notified­within­5­business­days­of­receipt.
2. Carrier's­local­terminal­must­be­notified­immediately­upon­discovery­(note­time,­date,­and­who­
was­spoken­to),­and­follow­up­and­confirm­with­written­or­electronic­communication.
3. All original packing materials must be kept for inspection purposes.
4. The­slicer­cannot­have­been­moved,­installed,­or­modified.
5. Notify­Vulcan­Customer­Service­immediately­at­800-814-2028.
Check­that­the­packaging­is­unopened­and­undamaged;­otherwise,­immediately­inform­the­forwarding­
agent or the area agent.
To take the machine out of the packaging proceed as follows:
• Cut­and­remove­the­plastic­straps
• Cut­the­cardboard­box­at­the­base­which­is­attached­to­the­pallet
• Lift­and­remove­the­cardboard­box;­take­out­the­polyethylene­bags­with­the­machine­flywheel­
and rubber feet
• Loosen­and­remove­the­two­screws­that­attach­the­machine­to­the­pallet
