Installing a fan tray

1. Wear an ESD-preventive wrist strap and make sure the wrist strap makes good skin contact and is
well grounded. For more information, see
2. Unpack the fan tray.
3. Install the fan tray in a correct direction:
a. Align the fan tray with upside on top with the fan tray slot.
b. Holding both sides of the fan tray, gently slide the fan tray along the guide rails into the slot,
as shown in

c. Holding the handle of the fan tray, completely push the fan tray into the slot, and fasten the
captive screws on the fan tray, as shown in
Figure 46.
