Removing/Installing a fan tray

NOTE:
The LSW1FAN and LSW1BFAN fan trays are hot swappable.
The two models of fan trays and the devices are installed when shipped. This chapter mainly describes
how to replace a fan tray when it fails.
CAUTION:
To prevent overheating, do not operate the system without the fan trays for more than two minutes.

Preparing tools

Phillips screwdrivers
ESD-preventive wrist strap
CAUTION:
The installation tools are not provided with the Ethernet switches in this document.

Removing a fan tray

Follow these steps to remove a fan tray:
Put on an ESD-preventive wrist strap, and make sure that the wrist strap has a good skin contact and is

Loosen the screw on the fan tray with a Phillips screwdriver until the screw is completely separated from
