Remarks
The cable management bracket is installed to
the chassis when the chassis is shipped.
No LPUs are shipped with the chassis.
Ten LPU slots are available on a 12910 AC
switch. Select the model and number of LPUs
as needed. For more information about LPU
specifications, see "Appendix B FRUs and
compatibility matrixes."
You can install an LPU in any empty LPU slot.
No power supplies are shipped with the
chassis.
Eight power supply slots are available on a
12910 AC switch. The HP FlexFabric 12900
Switch Series uses N + N (dual-line power
supply) or N + 1 (one-line power supply)
power redundancy. You can install
appropriate number of power supplies
according to the power supply mode and
system consumption.
You can install a power supply in any empty
power supply slot.
Two fan trays are shipped with the chassis.
Two fan tray slots are available on a 12910
AC switch.
If only one fan tray is available, install it in slot
FAN2.
No switching fabric modules are shipped with
the chassis.
Every 12910 AC switch has six switching
fabric module slots numbered 10 through 15.
For proper operation of the switch, at least one
switching fabric module must be installed in
slot 10, slot 11, or slot 12.
No MPUs are shipped with the chassis.
Two MPU slots are available on a 12910 AC
switch. One MPU is required for proper
operation of the switch. For redundancy, you
can install two MPUs.
You can install an MPU in either empty MPU
slot.
Choose power receptacles according to the
slot numbers of the power supplies that have
been installed.
