Alarm output
Connect up to 8 separate alarms (LDV-S503 : 4 sep-
arate alarms) to the Alarm Output.
Alarm signal output at an event occurrence.
Note :
The internal switching relays are rated for 0.5A at
125V AC or 1A at 30V DC. If the electric current is
higher than that, the unit can be damaged.

Connecting USB device
USB memory device
Insert the memory device into the USB port. The sys-
tem automatically recognizes the device.
Using an USB memory device, you can upgrade the
system S/W easily.
USB backup device
Connect the USB cable of USB backup device to the
USB port on the rear panel of this unit.
(Example : CD/DVD-R/RW drive, HDD, and other
external storage.)
Mouse
Connect the USB mouse for function control of this
unit.

LAN connection
Connect the LAN port to an available 10/100 base-T
port with a straight ethernet cable (not supplied).
The LAN indicator on the front panel will be lit.
Automatic network configuration
The DVR can automatically obtain and configure the
network interface via DHCP. (see page 32)
Manually configure network
The DVR may be manually configured by assigning
an IP address, subnet mask, gateway DNS. (see
page 32)

Connecting RS-232C port
The RS-232C is used for communication with a con-
nected PC. This terminal is compliant with the RS-
232C standard.
Connecting CONSOLE
Connecting CONSOLE
Used to connect to a host device equipped with RS-
232C connector (such as a personal computer). This
unit can be controlled from other devices via this con-
nector.
The Serial Flow Control is supported.
