Alarm Output
Connect up to 8 separate alarms (LDV-S503: 4 sepa-
rate alarms) to the alarm output.
Alarm signal output at an event occurrence.
Note:
The internal switching relays are rated for 0.5A at
125V AC or 1A at 30V DC. If the electric current is
higher than that the unit can be damaged.

Connecting the USB Device

USB Memory Device
Insert the memory device into the USB port. The sys-
tem automatically recognizes the device.
Rear of the DVR
Using a USB memory device the system S/W can be
easily upgraded.
USB Backup Device
Connect the USB cable of the USB backup device to
the USB port on the rear panel of the unit.
(Example: CD/DVD-R/RW drive, HDD or other exter-
nal storage.)
Mouse
Connect the USB mouse for function control of the
unit.

Connect the LAN port to an available 10/100 base-T

Manually Configure Network
The DVR may be manually configured by assigning
an IP address, subnet mask, gateway, DNS. (see
page 35)

Connecting the RS-232C Port

The RS-232C is used for communication with a con-
nected PC. This terminal is compliant with the RS-
232C standard.

Connecting CONSOLE

Used to connect to a host device equipped with an
RS-232C connector (such as a personal computer).
This unit can be controlled from other devices via this
connector.
