4.16.4 Gauge (Prowler HDX)
NOTE
When the ignition key is moved to the ON position, all segments of the gauge
display will light up for approx. 2 seconds.
Fig. 23
The gauge has the following display fields and function buttons:
Speedometer / tachometer (1) – Depending on the selected function, the approxi-
mate vehicle speed (km/h or MPH) or the engine speed (RPM) are displayed.
Low oil pressure (2) – Is only displayed during the self test while starting. The oil
pressure is not displayed during normal operation (because it is not measured in
these vehicles).
Temperature indicator (3) - If the coolant temperature exceeds the normal operating
range, the temperature icon starts flashing and the gauge display goes out for 30 sec-
onds. Thereafter, the gauge display returns to the normal operation mode. The tem-
perature icon continues flashing.
High beam indicator (4) – The high beam indicator appears when the high beam is
switched on.
Safety belt indicator (5) – The safety belt icon appears for approx. 8 seconds after
switching on the ignition.
